Marin Headlands
At the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge lie the Marin Headlands. As part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the headlands area includes beaches, hiking trails, camping areas and extensive historic sites. The park encompasses several former military forts and defensive installations, plus Point Bonita Lighthouse.
